Brighten My Day offers one-on-one COMPANIONSHIP and engaging leisure activities to seniors and older adults in the comfort of their own home, retirement community or care setting.
In a world where loneliness and isolation have been linked to increased health risks amongst seniors, Brighten My Day ensures that a parent, spouse or loved one enjoys special attention when family, friends or a working caregiver are unable to be there.
We take the time to get to know a senior’s passions, personality and unique life story. If a loved one is living with dementia and would benefit from specialized MEMORY CARE and non-drug therapies, we have the expertise to adapt their favourite activities to match changing abilities.

Brighten My Day helps to bring those priceless stories to light and to life in a one-of-a-kind keepsake LIFE STORY BOOK.
Through engaging interviews and guided prompts, we capture the heart-warming recollections of older adults in their own words, before a lifetime of memories fade or are forgotten. We’ll gather photos from old family albums and work with you to create a custom-designed hard-cover book that becomes a treasured legacy for future generations.

The REMINISCENCE ROADSHOW, facilitated by Brighten My Day, is a delightful one-hour program for small groups of seniors in retirement communities, continuing care settings and adult day programs.
Reminiscing about the good old days provides a wonderful opportunity for seniors and older adults to connect with each other and their past. Positive feelings associated with fond memories of people, places, experiences and items from previous decades, have therapeutic value and can be a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.
We bring along an awesome collection of vintage memorabilia, images, sensory items and inspiring music to jog the memory and spark great conversation amongst participants.
